Viaje Bringing Back Full Moon in October

After a hiatus in 2020, the Viaje Full Moon will return to humidors in October in two versions, a regular Full Moon and the Full Moon Edición Limitada.

Both versions are 5 x 58 robusto gordos and use a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with the regular version using a Nicaraguan corojo 99 wrapper and the Edición Limitada getting a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Both are made at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. in Estelí, the factory owned and operated by AGANORSA Leaf and will come in 24-count boxes, though with different prices. The regular version has an MSRP of $11.42 and the Edición Limitada is priced at $12.25.

Both cigars are scheduled to ship to retailers on Oct. 13, and while they are limited editions, the company has disclosed how many have been produced.

Viaje made the announcement via and has thus far not replied to an email seeking confirmation of the accuracy of that report.

The Viaje Full Moon line debuted in 2013 and has been a near-annual release, though it was not released in 2018 and 2020. It added the Edición Limitada version in 2015 and a Collector’s Edition in 2016.

Patrick Lagreid

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for, plus I’m a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
