There will once again be a limited edition VegaFina to celebrate the new year in the Chinese Zodiac calendar.
Next month, Tabacalera S.L.U. will launch the VegaFina Year of the Tiger, a 6 3/5 x 52 toro extra that uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Each box will contain 16 cigars, displayed in two rows of eight. In Chinese culture, red symbolizes good fortune and joy; while yellow or gold symbolizes wealth. Eight is considered to be a lucky number.
It will go on sale in select markets next month and other countries will receive the cigar in early 2022. The MSRP in Spain will be €8.50 ($9.77) per cigar, though in other countries the price is expected to be higher. For example, in Germany it will be €14. While the cigar will be sold in a variety of markets, it will not be offered in the U.S.
This is the fifth consecutive year VegaFina has released a Zodiac calendar-inspired cigar.
