Tatuaje’s Toro Samplers Heading to Stores Next Week

A pair of new samplers from Tatuaje and L’Atelier Imports will be heading to stores next week, and in those samplers will be a new 6 x 50 toro vitola for nine lines between the two brands.

The medium-bodied sampler, which comes in a red pouch, will contain:

  • Cabaiguan Guapos Toro
  • L’Atelier Selection Speciale Toro
  • Négociant Toro
  • Tatuaje Havana VI Toro
  • Tatuaje Nuevitas Estelí Toro

The stronger sampler, which comes in a black pouch, will contain:

  • Fausto Toro
  • La Mission L’Atelier Toro
  • Surrogates Bone Crusher Toro
  • Tatuaje Selección de Cazador Toro
  • Tatuaje Verocú Toro

Of the ten cigars, only the Fausto Toro isn’t new.

The samplers were announced in February, and had originally been slated for a summer release. That was delayed due to packaging, but Pete Johnson confirmed that everything is ready to go and the sampler will begin shipping around the middle of next week. Both samplers are ongoing, regular production offerings and have an MSRP of $35, which Johnson previously told halfwheel was his way of offering an affordable and convenient way for people to dive into the Tatuaje and L’Atelier portfolios.

Patrick Lagreid

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for, plus I’m a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
