JDN Makes Número Uno L’Attaché National Release

One of Joya de Nicaragua’s most critically acclaimed cigars—Número Uno—is receiving a wide release for the corona-sized L’Attaché.

The Número Uno is said to have originally been crafted as a diplomat cigar, similar to Cohibas of old. The cigars then became available in 2019 with the lancero-sized L’Ambassadeur (winner of Cigar Dojo’s 2019 Cigar of the Year). The Churchill-sized Número Uno Le Premier came one year later, sized at 6⅞” x 48. Meanwhile, a corona format existed as well, being a lesser-known release, as it was exclusive to Chicago’s Up Down Cigar retailer.

“The last three years have been an amazing journey for Número Uno. When we were thinking what was next for this cigar, we remembered the beautiful smoke experience that this vitola provided and the decision to relaunch it was made” says Daniel Barrios, Joya de Nicaragua’s Global Commercial Manager.

The Número Uno L’Attaché (5½” x 42) will now become more widely available, marking the first release through JDN’s Club de Amigos program, which operates similarly to Drew Estate’s Drew Diplomat program. The cigars are now available in boxes of 25, though pricing was not mentioned in a press release from the company.
