Electronic Cigarettes –

E-cigs are one of the greatest inventions of this century, in my opinion.

Finally they invent a smokeless cigarette that contains nicotine.

“Vaping changed my life.”

Quite literally, actually.

I’m a huge supporter of this method to quit smoking, and here’s why:

NO SMOKE OR TAR BUILDUP – Electronic cigarettes involve water vapor, not smoke, so that means there is less junk being clogged in your lungs.

When you smoke a cigarette, around 90% of the smoke you inhale STAYS in your lungs and doesn’t get exhaled right away.

Over time, that can lead to some serious tar buildup, which leads to coughing and breathing problems.

Water vapor is just that…vapor. It dissipates.

Now it’s very true that inhaling anything at all is bad for your lungs, but at least with vaping, you aren’t inhaling carbon monoxide and thousands upon thousands of chemicals.

With vaping, you are only inhaling a few: water, Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), nicotine, and flavoring.

“The flavorings are where things can get toxic, if you don’t do your research.”

Not all eliquid is created equal. Some are of better quality than others.

I wouldn’t buy eliquid from a gas station.

I would also try to buy eliquid made in either the USA or the UK. I wouldn’t buy some from China.

You have to read the labels and talk to the workers and make a little bit of an effort to buy what’s right for you.

Some people prefer a stronger throat hit. That is a higher PG liquid.

Some people prefer more vape when they exhale. That is a higher VG liquid.

You can also get 50/50 (PG/VG), and that’s what I used mostly. But I experimented with everything.

There are 1000’s of flavors.

You name it, there’s a flavor for it. You can even find a “bacon” flavored eliquid.

Now I will tell you to STAY AWAY from any “custard” or “butter” type of flavor. They contain the chemical “diacetyl” and that has been proven to cause respiratory disease.

“Diacetyl has recently been removed from most reputable eliquid vendors, but I would still stay away from any butter flavor just in case.”

You can mix flavors, too.

I always mixed a fruity flavor with a menthol flavor. It was like dessert! So refreshing.

There are also different strength levels of nicotine.

You can buy 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 10mg, 12mg, 18mg, 24mg, and 36mg. Maybe even higher, but you definitely don’t want that.

You can mix those, too, to get whatever number you are aiming for. Mixing 0mg and 10mg would result in 5mg.

Typically, and this may vary, 1ml of eliquid of 18mg nicotine content is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes.

That means if you buy one of those tiny bottles of 18mg eliquid containing 3.5ml of juice, you will have the equivalency of roughly 3.5 packs of cigarettes.

You can use that estimation as a gauge of how much nicotine you’re actually vaping on a day-to-day basis.

If you vape 9mg, you would have to vape twice as much juice to get the same amount of nicotine as the 18mg juice.

But as you get less nicotine concentration, you also get less throat hit.

“Nicotine = throat hit”

If you remove the nicotine and vape 0mg, you will get zero throat hit.

Now some flavors mimic the sensation of receiving a throat hit, and those are mainly the menthol and cinnamon flavors.

It won’t be nearly the same as inhaling a cigarette, but it’s better than nothing.

On the other hand, the STRONGER the nicotine content, the MORE throat hit.

If you vape 36mg eliquid, it will destroy your throat, in my opinion. I couldn’t handle it. It was way too harsh.

But some like that. Perhaps they were the ones who smoked 2-3 packs of cigarettes a day.

Something I want to say about the whole vaping experience is that you have to get it in your head that it is only temporary.

Don’t think you’re going to vape for the rest of your life. It isn’t 100% good for you, either.

Use vaping as a tool to quit smoking all together, and then quit vaping, too.

The idea is to not do anything, and be the person who you were BEFORE you smoked that first cigarette in your life.

I was 16, now I’m 39 and back to that point finally.

If you continue to vape your entire life you may have ended the smoking aspect of your life, but not the slavery aspect.

You’re still the slave, and still the addict, and that’s not what you want.

You’ll still be scheming to find opportunities to vape.

“You might even end up vaping far more than you smoked.”

You have to be careful of that, because it’s easy to do so.

You can vape in far more places than you can smoke.

Just get it through your head that vaping is merely the bridge from quitting smoking, to not inhaling anything ever again.

It’s much easier to go cold turkey from vaping than it is to go cold turkey from smoking.

Cigarettes contain 4000 chemicals, and you are addicted to those things, too.

So when you quit smoking, you come off not only nicotine, but 1000’s of other chemicals, too.

I know this because when I switched to vaping, I went through withdrawal from smoking.

But if i was still consuming nicotine, I shouldn’t have gone through anything, right? But I did.

I was coming off all that other junk that’s in cigarettes.

When you quit vaping, you are coming off FAR LESS chemicals, and therefore it is much easier to deal with.

It was really easy, in fact.

I will help you and I will show you what to do.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
