
During an online event as part of the company’s Freestyle Live series, Drew Estate announced its newest line, Nica Rustica Adobe.
It’s a follow-up to the Nica Rustica El Brujito which debuted in 2013, making it the second line in the Nica Rustica series. It will use an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Brazilian binder and fillers from Nicaragua.
While some of the details are still unannounced, the pricing is as follows:
- Nica Rustica Adobe Robusto — $5.20 (Box of 25, $130)
- Nica Rustica Adobe Toro — $5.76 (Box of 25, $144)
- Nica Rustica Adobe Gordo — $6.48 (Box of 25, $162)
“Adobe is a construction raw material that we use in Nicaragua to build houses,” said Pedro Gomez, Drew Estate’s factory spokesperson, during the broadcast. “Those houses build beautiful communities, those communities bring a lot of families together. And it doesn’t matter where you came from Jack because all those communities in my hometown of Estelí, they will embrace you as a family (member).”
While the cigar was announced today, many consumers have already had a chance to smoke the cigar. Like it has done with a number of its newest releases, Drew Estate sold prerelease packs of unbanded cigars to coincide with tonight’s event.
